Night Sky Light Show Over Colorado Pond

I’m going to post one more perfect wide field astrophotography creation, this time from the mind and camera of Thomas O’Brien. Overlooking a pond at the outskirts of Aspen Colorado he captures this faint Aurora Borealis lighting up the night sky and along with the Milky Way and M31 the Andromeda Galaxy all reflecting off of the calm pond waters below it all.
Any aspiring wide field astrophotograpers out there, this is what you want to shoot for. It’s another perfect setting, clear night with little or no surrounding light interference and a full sky of activity to cover your sensor. I’m not sure exactly where this is or how accessible it is but if it were easy to get to it’s a perfect location for a telescope and thermos of coffee.
