LAUNCH ALERT: Potentially the 2nd launch of the day.
On Sunday, December 8, 2013 at approximately 2226 EST (0326 UTC on the 9th) China will be launching a Long March (Chang Zheng or CZ) 4B rocket carrying the China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite (CBERS-3) from Launch Complex 9 (LC9) at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center (TSLC), China. TSLC is also known as “Base-25”.
CBERS-3 is a remote sensing satellite for the collection of imagery of urban, agricultural and environmental planning and applications. CBERS-3 also goes by the name Ziyuan-1 (ZY-1).
