Here’s a beautiful, hard earned shot that’s just nailed it. The radiant glow of the vertical Milky Way matches the foreground lighting, whose shadows bend gently to create an almost surreal look. Great job, and congrats to Mr. Hinis for a beautifully constructed piece and I believe this photo gets all of the attention that it has for sure.
Above I used the word “shot” and that’s not entirely true. Again, this lends itself to the largely unrecognized, painstaking dedication it takes photographers to create photos like these. This photo is actually the culmination of a total of 57 shots in total and is a vast panorama created with different frames, exposures, settings etc. before being matched, combined and finalized in this brilliant display that he’s ended with.
These photos grab out attention and drive us to wonder about where we came from, who we are, what we are and what our place in the universe is. As we look at this photo, were seeing our star city from the suburbs. One photographer’s vantage point, on a planet of over seven billion, around a star. A star who’s also an active member in this same star city, but not as one of seven billion like the photographer, but as one of a hundred billion or more………
