MILKY WAY GALAXY IN AMAZING DETAIL

Have a look at the central region of our star city, the Milky Way galaxy with brilliant clarity. This photo from Robin Lee was taken on July 20, 2012 at DaSyueShan “Great Snow Mountain” in Taichung, Taiwan.
I love that the foreground is black as it allows for the plane of our home to show off its details. Within it you can make out the blues and pinks of star formation as well as the yellow tinted nucleus of ancient stars and the vast, many light year long veins and bands of dust and material that shroud much of the galaxy from our optically astute eyes.
Many prominent stars and constellations show themselves here as well, see what you can find. It’s almost as if you could read a book from its light, but then again, if you could see this why would you?! Terrific job to Mr. Lee, I’m hoping to see many more works from him in the future.
