Alright, thank you to all who commented on my two sad attempts at night sky photography but let’s get back to showing off photos of those who know what they’re doing. This one comes from long time night sky photographer Royce Bair and it’s a beautiful view of the Grand Canyon’s Nankoweap region as the Colorado River flows through, admiring its own artwork while the awe inspiring sight that is our home galaxy flows overhead.
One of the things I regret most about my time spent living on the west coast is not getting enough time to explore places like this as well as countless destinations along the southwest desert. My only Grand Canyon trip was a day trip and even though it was worth every hour you simply cannot see much in a day. You’ve got to get out you guys, save a little and get away from your jobs for a week and explore something. While you, like me, are saving your pennies go explore Mr. Bair’s links below and get inspired!
