I’m always a sucker for some great startrails and this fits the bill for sure. This image was created in Timna National Park, Israel, and it’s a beautiful desert landscape full of natural arches, rock pillars and scenic views. You may notice something about this photo that makes you take notice; the bright landscape and sky. That’s from the great spotlight in the sky, also known as the full moon. Try it sometime, go nab a 15-20 second exposure during a full moon and see what you come up with. All told, this photo is beautiful, in a unique location with an equally unique aspect to the image itself. Great job Erez!

Those of you with a passion for the night sky and have the means, go try out some startrails. It will be an adventure and if you’re new to long exposure photography, startrails are a great starting point. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will walk you through it if I need to. Also, if you DO get some good images go ahead and tag me in them; I’d love to see em!
